Easy Step-by-Step Filing Guide
This section addresses the user's core request: "How people can fill the tax return." We will walk through the 2025 Ohio filing process, assuming the use of standard forms IT 1040 and the Schedule of Credits.
Step 1: Estimate Your Ohio Tax Liability (Credit Ceiling)
Before entering the credit, you must know your maximum potential benefit.
- Form: Ohio IT 1040, Page 2.
- Line 8c (Income Tax Liability before credits): This figure represents your total tax based on your taxable income and the tax tables.
- Example: If Line 8c is $450, your SGO credit cannot exceed $450, regardless of how much you donated. If Line 8c is $2,000, you can utilize the full $750 (or $1,500) limit.
Step 2: Make Your Contribution
It ultimately costs you nothing to redirect your tax dollars to FIA Scholarship Foundation. Donate to the SGO
Step 3: Claim Your Tax Credit
Ensure you have the receipt(s) from Faith Islamic Academy Scholarship Foundation.
- Required Data: Date of Donation, Amount, and Name of Donor.
- Format: The receipt usually comes as an email. For e-filing, you will enter this data; for paper filing, you must attach copies.
- Missing Receipt? please reach out to us at [email protected] we’re here to help.
- Some contributors are asked to provide the name of the SGO and the organization’s tax identification number when filing:
